Laborers for the Harvest

Thursday, January 25th, 2007

The Harvest truly is great, but the Laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the Harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. Luke 10:2

The Lord gave us this verse, as a conviction, to go into the mission field. So here we go. We have filled out our formal application with New Tribes Mission, and are now waiting for them to contact us and hopefully (read prayerfuly) they will be accepting it sometime in the next couple of weeks. Once we are accepted then begins lots of speaking engagements and travel. We will need to gather our support from family, friends and churches.

The amount that NTM would like us to have for full funding is $3,857. However we can leave with only 60% of that amount. This amount does not include all the costs associated with getting to Papua New Guinea eg. airfare, passport and visa costs, pre-field orientation costs etc. So please keep us in your prayers. As soon as our application is accepted we also then have to get the house on the market and sell pretty much everything we own. We don’t know at this point what we will be taking and/or how to get it there.

So as you can see we have lots to do and lots to pray for. I hope to be able to do weekly updates, but as life gets confusing I am not sure how well I will be able to keep up with that. But I will try. Until then God Bless!!!
