Well Art spoke with Len Lane yesterday regarding us maybe going with Global.  He had us email him our references that we would be using and mail him the completed pre-application form.  I got the references to him by around 11 or so yesterday morning and he emailed us the full application last evening.  We spent the remainder of our night filling out the applications. 

So now Len has our applications and all of our references.  Now it is just wait and see.  So please pray that this porcess will go smoothly.  Art’s first impression of both Global and Len are much higher than our initial of NTM.  This whole process of collecting all of our information and acceptance could take only a couple of weeks after which we will begin our deputation process. 

So that is where we are right now and I will update as soon as we have any news. 

In and through Him

It looks like we are not going to PNG after all.  After considering our applications NTM decided not to accept our membership.  They had problems with me homeschooling Michael, and something else that we were not able to find out from them due to “confidentiality” issues.  They were not willing to discuss any questions they had about our references or background check.  They just seemed to have a mold that we didn’t fit.  Regardless, it’s obviously not the path that the Lord wanted us to take.  However, we would not have come to where we are if we hadn’t taken that path.

So what are we going to do now, you ask?  We are looking into going with Global Outreach Mission into the Congo, to the Pioneer Christian Hospital.  We are just in the VERY beginning stages of this process however.  On Monday we (well Art) will be giving the head of application acceptance a call to start our journey with them.  In the mean time, please be praying for God’s direction in our lives.
